Community as Partners

At Edmonton Public Schools, we are always looking for ways to work with the community - service groups, government agencies, community organizations, post-secondary education institutions, businesses and the public at large - in order to provide students with a variety of learning experiences.

Through these relationships, we learn about the issues within the community and trends that impact the city and shape the future of public education. The community helps us understand what to expect from our students so that we can prepare them to become productive, contributing members of society.

Get involved by:

• attending ad-hoc meetings and public board meetings;
• participating in public consultations, opinion polls and surveys;
• contacting the administration and Trustees with ideas and concerns;
• volunteering time to support school activities and programs; and
• considering a District or school level educational partnership arrangement.
